Secondary Glazing Creating Comfort With Improved Thermal And Sound Insulation

Improve Sound And Thermal Insulation In Your Home Without Changing Your Existing Windows In Gerrards Cross, Beaconsfield, Amersham And Chalfont Areas

SECONDARY GLAZING

Secondary glazing is a cost-effective solution to enhance the performance of your current windows without the need for complete replacement. It is particularly suitable for properties with historic value, where restrictions may be in place to prevent the replacement of old and inefficient single glazed windows.

The installation involves adding a secondary frame with single glass to the interior of your existing window system, creating an additional layer of insulation. The frame is slimline aluminium with a powder coating. By introducing an air-gap between your existing windows and the secondary glazing, both thermal and sound performance can be significantly improved.

For even greater sound reduction, you have the option to choose laminated glass, which can reduce noise levels by up to 40 decibels.

To ensure easy access to your existing opening windows, sliding or hinged units can be incorporated into the secondary glazing system. Additionally, the glazing units can be easily removed for convenient cleaning and maintenance purposes.
