A clearer view through your windows in Gerrards Cross, Beaconsfield, Amersham & Chalfont areas

Over time the view through your double glazed windows can deteriorate. This is often caused by the double glazed units failing and misting up

Double glazed and triple glazed units are factory sealed with argon or sometimes krypton gas between the panes of glass. The gas is inert and completely harmless and when correctly sealed adds to the thermal performance of the window

Unfortunately, over time the units slowly break down and the gas leaks out. This is then automatically replaced by the surrounding air in the room

Air contains moisture in the form of water vapour and this accumulates inside the glass panes. As air is affected by changes in humidity, the amount of moisture varies from day to day. On some days when the humidity is high, the windows will mist up and spoil the view through your windows

in some cases, the sealed units can be replaced without replacing the whole window. If the window frames are old and damaged or warped, then it may be necessary to replace the whole window
